Functional Medicine Health Coaching is a personalized and holistic approach to improving your overall health and well being. We look at the root cause of health issues focusing on you as a whole. Together, we may explore the eight pillars of lifestyle contributing to YOUR health; stress, sleep, circadian rhythm, nutrition, movement, social connection, purpose & meaning and mental & emotional health. I help educate, encourage and empower you towards the changes you want to make to be able to live your best life.

What Sets Me Apart?
In addition to being a certified Functional Medicine Health Coach, I am a certified Breathwork Coach and a Certified HeartMath Practitioner for stress, anxiety, and self-regulation. I guide clients through practices that promote nervous system balance—supporting resilience and helping to reduce chronic stress, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and other health challenges.
Perhaps my story will resonate with you. Like many, I juggled work, family, a busy household, and autoimmune challenges affecting myself and my two boys—often living in a chronic “fight or flight” state without realizing the toll it was taking. Prolonged stress can undermine health, no matter how well we eat or exercise.
Discovering Functional Medicine and applying its principles to my family’s life marked the beginning of our healing journey. Breathwork, in particular, taught me how to influence the nervous system, improve physiology and biochemistry, and reduce stress in a meaningful way.
I am passionate about helping you build this foundation for your own health. Together, we’ll use breathwork and other stress-reduction strategies to restore balance, support your body’s natural healing, and create lasting wellness.
How is a Health Coach Different from a Nutritionist or Functional Medicine Practitioner?
A nutritionist specializes in the field of nutrition, providing expertise in dietary assessment, planning, and education. A functional medicine health coach takes a broader, more holistic approach to health, considering various lifestyle factors. I work with you to find the foods and ways of eating that work best for your body and lifestyle. I will also help you with movement and exercise, sleep optimization, stress management and relationship building. Coaching is more like counseling than medical treatment. We work together to clarify your health goals. I don’t diagnose, prescribe, or treat any medical condition as a physician would. I will work together with your physician or any of your health care practitioners. I partner with YOU in a collaborative and supportive manner to help you achieve your health and wellness goals.
What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine looks at the "HOW" and the "WHY" disease occurs. Rather than just treating an isolated set of symptoms, Functional Medicine addresses the root cause of disease. It looks at the interconnectedness of the body as a whole taking into the account the mind, body and spirit.

ABOUT
Dr. Rosanne Bloom, DDS, MS, FMCHC
With over 27 years of experience as an orthodontist and practice owner, I developed a deep appreciation for the importance of teamwork and whole-person care. Today, as a Functional Medicine Health Coach and Breathwork Coach, I focus on helping individuals improve their health through meaningful lifestyle change.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Microbiology before receiving my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. I then completed a three-year orthodontic residency at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where I received both my Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. Afterward, I opened and successfully ran my own orthodontic practice for 27 years.
My interest in functional medicine grew from a deeply personal journey. Both my own autoimmune challenges and my son’s complex health issues led me to search for answers beyond conventional medicine. From a young age, my son struggled with severe food allergies, asthma, eczema, and autoimmune conditions, resulting in frequent hospitalizations. After a life-threatening illness and a later diagnosis of severe Crohn’s disease, I began studying functional medicine to better understand the root causes of chronic illness.
Through nutrition, lifestyle changes, and natural therapies, my son was ultimately able to achieve remission. This experience transformed my perspective on health and inspired my passion for lifestyle medicine and the power of food and daily habits to support healing.
After stepping away from orthodontic practice, I enrolled in the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy to formally pursue this passion and expand my training in lifestyle-based health coaching.
Optimal health is built on the foundations of lifestyle—nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, breath, social connection, and our relationship with the natural environment. When these pillars are aligned, the body is better able to function, heal, and thrive.
My role is to support and guide individuals in creating sustainable lifestyle habits that bring these pillars into balance so they can achieve greater health, energy, and well-being.
